Tomato Chatni Recipe



Ingredients:


  • 1 tsp (heaped) Coriander powder(dhania) 
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder(lal mairch) 
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder(haldi) 
  • 8-10 green chilies (slIce them) or whole fresh round red chilies 
  • 1 Onion-thinly slIced
  • Oil as desired 
  • 1 can of dIceTomatoes 
  • 1 inch piece of Ginger-crushed(adrak) 
  • 4-5 Cloves of Garlic-crushed(lehsan) 
  • 1-2 branches of Curry leaves(curry patta) 
  • 3/4 Tea spoons(tsp) each of Cumin seeds and mustard(Rai) seeds 
  • Salt 1Tea spoon or according to taste 


Method:

Put oil in pan and add onion 
Add cumin and mustard seeds 
Add curry leaves, crushed ginger and garlic 
Cook for a while and then serve 
It stays good in fridge for a long time 

IMPORTANT NOTES: 

No need to brown the onion just when it softens add the dry spices, tomatoes and
green chilies.
